Eidos To Reevaluate The Gamecube

September 9, 2003

4 days ago, Eidos announced they will no longer be publishing anymore games for Gamecube. Today, Eidos have decided to reevaluate Gamecube. This doesn't mean there will be future releases for the 'Cube though, nor does it mean they have decided to no longer publish games for it.

The following is a quote straight from Rober Dyer, president of Eidos Interactive:

"We look at each title and try to determine if we think there is an opportunity on the Cube. We released Hitman 2 and Italian Job for it and will continue to look at what might work with it. As of today, we haven't announced anything coming up, but that isn't to say we wouldn't do something in the future."

This is definately good news for Nintendo. Eidos Interactive have published quite a few quality games, and losing them would certainly harm the amount of quality games released for Gamecube. Hopefully, they will continue to release excellent games for the 'Cube.
