New Donkey Kong from Namco to be Similar to Samba de Amigo?
Last week, Nintendo announced they were working on Donkey Kong with Namco. Many of us assumed it would be a platforming adventure, much like the SNES and N64 versions. However, recent sources suggest the new Donkey Kong [from Namco] will be similar to Samba de Amigo [an arcade game ported over to Dreamcast].
On March 10, 2003, Nintendo registered the trademark for Donkey Konga. According to sources, this may be the name for the title.
Samba de Amigo is a music game in which players play maracas similar to other Bemani [the company behind DDR and the likes] games.
