Capcom's Exclusive 5 has turned into the Exclusive One - but regardless of the Ps2 port Killer 7 will get it still looks like a remarkably interesting game.

Players will assume the role of Harman Smith, an infamous 65-year old handicapped killer who contends with the likes of seven different personalities - each one providing a specific importance in gameplay. Interestingly, the game will possess a total of five different storylines weaving between two time periods across four worlds. It's evident that Killer 7 is incredibly intricate in thought.

The main plot in Killer 7 revolves around a mysterious and menacing man named Kun Lan, who at one time was a friend to Harman but has since been the cause of scary happenings - it seems as though Lan has the ability to turn innocent people into terrible creatures. For this reason many identify him as 'God Hands.' In fact, things do not even turn personal between the two until Harman's girlfriend is turned into one of these monsters.

In order to contend with this deadly villian, its up to the player to utilize each personality in a given situation. First and foremost is Gracian Smith, a man with amazing mental prowess that is given the duty to watch over every personality. Next is Dan Smith, who is responsible for killing Harman some years ago and also has the uncanny talent that allows him to affect the direction of bullets. Then there is Masked Smith - who can become invincible - and his son Coyote Smith, with the ability to teleport right through nearly any object. Fifth is Con Smith, a young lad with "superior natural senses" and the gift of showcasing a fake feeling, mainly compassion, to trick others. A female, Kaede Smith, causes "showers of blood" to materialize and sports a deep attraction towards both Dan and Coyote. Lastly is Kevin Smith, easily the most arcane of the group - little is known about him other than the fact that he has a "special mission."

Even in such an early stage - the game is rumored to be 40% complete - Killer 7 is promising, to say the least, and what little we know of the story already makes it apparent that themes such as love, vengeance, betrayal, and friendship will all be accounted for. Even the visuals are astounding thus far; cel-shading this good and unique don't come around every so often. My only worry is that the game may become too ambitious for its own good, but if Capcom's talent is any indication, that won't be the case.

Expect to here more about Killer 7 when it hits Japan later this year. And look for a review on this insane title when the game hits eastern shores.
